In March 2020 BROCRISP and producer Summer Dregs met up in Queens, NY to brainstorm and write. They did not realize this would be the last in-person session until the album was finished. As the world ground to a halt, BROCRISP and Summer Dregs dove inward. So over a bed of slithering R&B and future-pop, they soundtracked what feels like THE END. With the hope that it will be the start of something new. Greenlight is the first single of their forthcoming album Jungle Savior.
lyrics
Take my hand, 'cuz I'm close to the touch
I'm a standing man, no I don't need much
(No I, No I) No I don't need much
(All we, All we) All we need's in the distance
Is it a greenlight or red?
Is it a greenlight or red?
Said it's a greenlight, or red
I need to know before I press ahead now
Hop in my car, I need your attention
Hop in my car, get up, pick up
We won't go far
All we need is love
All we need is love
All we need is love
Is it a greenlight or red?
Is it a greenlight or red?
Said it's a greenlight, or red
I need to know before I press ahead now
vroom vroom vroom vroom ...
Cut the brakes, going further than far
Cut the brakes, press it to the floor
Spark my soul, leave it to the fire
let burn, let it burn, let it burn, let it burn, let it burn
Is it a greenlight or red?
Is it a greenlight or red?
Said it's a greenlight, or red
I need to know before I press ahead now
